Dr. Janice Hung

Dr. Janice grew up in Markham, Ontario and completed her Bachelor of Science degree at McMaster University in Hamilton. She studied Life Sciences and minored in biochemistry. Soon after, she relocated to Australia to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. Prior to entering veterinary school, she worked as a receptionist and veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital for a year and a half.

 

During her time in veterinary school, Dr. Janice travelled to Taiwan for a zoo externship and gained experience working with exotic animals such as koalas, , and penguins. She also participated in a trap-neuter release program and provided veterinary care for stray animals in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She is a current member of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) and has a keen interest in pocket pets.

 

Dr. Janice lives in Markham with her handsome Chihuahua, Coco. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family at the cottage and travelling.
